Metalworking processes require high coolant pressures to maximise tool life, increase accuracy and reduce component cycle times. Applications for which Cat Pumps are used include:  through-tool coolant and lubricants in deep bore and gun drilling; high velocity coolant at the tool tip for chip breaking; grinding wheel scrubbing to minimise clogging; and DI water for EDM (spark erosion) processes.
