Rock Drilling

By its very nature rock drilling generates considerable temperatures at the tip, making cooling a basic necessity. Pumping water down the hole at high pressures and at a constant flow with a reciprocating positive displacement pump provides the twin benefits of cooling and lubricating. In addition, the ‘down-hole’ water will also flush away the waste cuttings to the surface and suppress dust at the surface.

The robust nature of Cat Pumps means that they can be located in some of the most arduous and challenging working environments. Easy to service and with ready availability of low costs spare parts reduce maintenance time and costs.
