Pump Units, Motors and Skids
Increasingly we are being asked to supply more than just a pump, and as part of our broad range of services we can supply our high-pressure pumps in a variety of configurations according to each customers’ unique needs. We will choose the most appropriate configuration to meet your requirements, taking account of target performance, available space, operating conditions, commercial constraints and optimum reliability.
Each unit is custom-designed to your exact requirements and built on a heavy gauge steel base with a durable paint finish, or optional stainless steel or aluminium frame. Our engineers take responsibility for the selection and procurement of motors and transmission components and then provide a power unit, fully assembled, mounted and tested.
We deliver a complete product covered by our normal warranty and you have only one bill to pay. We can also design, assemble and supply multiple-pump sets, feed tanks, pipework, valves, anti-vibration mounts, mobile trolley configurations and numerous other components.
Options include the following products and assemblies:

Bareshaft pumps are normally available from stock, or built to order when required e.g. when specialised material options are required.
Close-Coupled pumps are mounted directly to a high-quality electric motor, either directly on the motor shaft or via a suitable flexible coupling. Pumps and motors are matched according to the flow rate and pressure required and selected to suit the available electrical supply.

Belt-drive units are built to order to standardised configurations. The flow rate from our pumps can be predetermined by setting the correct the running speed. A suitable electric motor is mounted with the pump on a rigid steel or stainless-steel base. A vee-belt transmission is designed and fitted to give the required pump shaft revolutions per minute (rpm) and finally a guard is provided to enclose the belts, meeting the requirements of the Safety of Machinery Directive.

Overhead Drives reduce floor footprint area by mounting the drive motor above the pump and dropping a vee-belt drive down to the pump shaft
Gearbox Drives permit a higher speed reduction ratio than is practicable with a belt transmission. A flexible coupling enclosed in a safety guard connects the gearbox output shaft to our pump shaft.
Heavy duty pressure cleaning pumps can be driven from either petrol or diesel engines through a purpose-designed reduction gearbox.

Multiple-Pump Skids can include interconnecting pipework, isolation valves, Captive Acceleration Tubes, Pressure Protection Valves and instrumentation.

Supply Tanks can be provided, with all feed and return pipework already connected. Tanks are available in polypropylene, GRP and stainless steel incorporating baffles, overflows, level controls and intake filtration where required
