Pump Drives

The power needed to drive a Cat Pump is almost exactly proportional to the discharge pressure and running speed and, therefore, the flow. Cat Pumps will supply pumps with the correct sizes of motor and transmission for each application.

All Cat Pumps’ positive displacement pumps are suitable for control by variable speed drives and where used in conjunction with a closed-loop feedback from a pressure transducer, constant pressure may be maintained against varying flow demands.
