Cat Pumps’ reciprocating positive displacement triplex pumps are designed for higher pressure applications that are normally outside the range of most common centrifugal pumps, typically in the region between 20 and 400 bar. Over 2500 individual models on more than a dozen Frame sizes are available.

The flow from the pump is highly stable and predictable as the flow rate is determined by the running speed of the pump. Furthermore, it is not affected by back-pressure, the viscosity of the liquid or specific gravity

The drive end or rear end of the Cat Pump features a heavy duty chrome-molybdenum crankshaft, precisely aligned and supported in high capacity rolling-element bearings within a precision-die-cast alloy crankcase. The crankshaft drives high strength connecting rods pinned to the plunger push rods. These are accurately aligned within bores in the crankcase to maximise support, minimise wear and to ensure precise concentricity of the pump seals. All the rotating and sliding contact parts are contained within the crankcase, well away from the pumped liquid, and splash-lubricated by the crankcase oil.

Cat Pumps provide optimum life and are able to withstand the most punishing applications, repeated cycles and continuous duty operation.
