Hydrostatic Test Units

The HTU from Cat Pumps is a compact mobile high-pressure system utilising the highly reliable and long-lived Cat Pumps high pressure plunger pump. The HTU can be used for testing of pipelines, delivery hoses, valves, heat exchangers and other pressure related components.

Hydrostatic Pressure Test Unit Operation

The Cat Pumps HTU comprises of a high-pressure pump and motor/gear-motor assembly. An inbuilt 25 or 50 litre water supply tank feeds the high-pressure pump which in turn feeds a high-pressure distribution manifold, which incorporates a pressure regulator and an easy to read calibrated pressure gauge. The HTU has an inbuilt pressure relief valve that will prevent the unit from achieving pressures in excess of the system design. An incorporated pressure release valve allows the pressurised water to be released back to the supply tank after a hydrostatic test has been completed.
